This lightweight aluminum wheelset is a must-have for anyone looking for an easy upgrade from OEM wheels. The Ksyrium S Disc can significantly boost the performance of any bike and is an easy entry into Mavic quality that doesn’t cut any corners.
The Ksyrium S Disc is 40g lighter than the previous Ksyrium UST Disc while being more stable and laterally stiffer. The stiffness is optimized by Fore technology. The upper bar remains undrilled, which optimizes the strength and stiffness, and no rim tape is required, which saves another 30g per wheel. The new rim bed shape makes it easier than ever to mount and dismount tires, and UST Tubeless technology improves rolling resistance and grip, reducing the risk of punctures. These rims are made in France, in an aluminum rim factory.
The new Infinity hub platform optimizes stiffness and power transmission with highly controlled spoke tension, while the Instant Drive 360 freewheel combined with the automatic bearing preload adjustment (QRM Auto) ensures fast engagement and durability. The Ksyrium S Disc not only rides fast, it also looks fast. Matte painted hubs, invisible rim welding and jet black spokes give this wheelset a premium look that stands out from the crowd. Designed specifically for disc brakes, it is compatible with a 12×100 front axle and a 12×142 rear axle and can be converted to quick release with the included adapters.
